GeForce RTX 2080 vs Quadro M4000 comparison
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2080 beats the Quadro M4000 in gaming performance.
The GeForce RTX 2080 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Quadro M4000 has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 at 250 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2080 is faster than the Quadro M4000.
