GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER vs Radeon RX 6950 XT benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 6950 XT GPU is faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER in gaming.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6950 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6950 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6950 XT has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER has a slightly lower TDP at 250 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6950 XT at 335 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6950 XT is better than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER.
