GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER vs GeForce RTX 5070 Ti comparison

For gaming, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER in our tests.

In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER has a slightly lower TDP at 250 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti at 300 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is better than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER.
