GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q vs UHD 770 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q beats the UHD 770 in gaming performance.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the UHD 770 has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, the UHD 770 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q at 90 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q is better than the UHD 770.
