GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q vs TITAN Xp specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU is faster than the TITAN Xp in gaming.
The TITAN Xp has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the TITAN Xp also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
As stated by the manufacturer, the TITAN Xp has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 90 W when compared to the TITAN Xp at 250 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q over the TITAN Xp.
