GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q vs RTX 2000 Ada Generation comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU is faster than the RTX 2000 Ada Generation in gaming.
In our comparison, the RTX 2000 Ada Generation has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the RTX 2000 Ada Generation also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
In addition, the RTX 2000 Ada Generation has a slightly lower TDP at 70 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q at 90 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q is faster than the RTX 2000 Ada Generation.
