GeForce RTX 2070 vs Radeon RX 6700 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 6700 GPU is faster than the GeForce RTX 2070 in gaming.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 6700 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6700 also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 6700 has slightly more memory with 10 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, both the GeForce RTX 2070 and the Radeon RX 6700 have an identical TDP. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 6700 over the GeForce RTX 2070.
