GeForce RTX 2070 vs GeForce RTX 3070 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 3070 GPU is faster than the GeForce RTX 2070 in gaming.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 3070 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 3070 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 has a slightly lower TDP at 175 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 3070 at 220 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 3070 is faster than the GeForce RTX 2070.
