GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER vs Radeon RX 5700 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 5700 in gaming.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 5700 has a slightly lower TDP at 180 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER at 215 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER over the Radeon RX 5700.
