GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER vs Radeon RX 470 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 470 in gaming.
Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Radeon RX 470 has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER at 215 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER is faster than the Radeon RX 470.
