GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q vs GeForce RTX 3050 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q GPU is faster than the GeForce RTX 3050 in gaming.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 3050 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 3050 also has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 3050 at 130 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q is faster than the GeForce RTX 3050.
