GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q vs Radeon RX 6700S benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6700S beats the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 6700S has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6700S also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, both the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q and the Radeon RX 6700S have an identical TDP. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6700S is better than the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q.
