GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q vs Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q comparison
For gaming, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q in our tests.
Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, both the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q and the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q have an identical TDP. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q is better than the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q.
