GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q vs Quadro P4200 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q beats the Quadro P4200 in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Quadro P4200 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q has a slightly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the Quadro P4200 at 100 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q is faster than the Quadro P4200.
