GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q vs GeForce GTX TITAN X specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q beats the GeForce GTX TITAN X in gaming performance.

The GeForce GTX TITAN X has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the GeForce GTX TITAN X at 250 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q is faster than the GeForce GTX TITAN X.
