GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER vs Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q benchmarks
For gaming, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER in our tests.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER at 175 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q over the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER.
