GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q vs GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q comparison

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q beats the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q has a slightly lower TDP at 65 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q at 80 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Max-Q over the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q.
