GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q vs GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q comparison
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q beats the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q has a slightly lower TDP at 65 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q at 80 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q is better than the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q.
