GeForce GTX 960M vs P106-100 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the P106-100 beats the GeForce GTX 960M in gaming performance.
The P106-100 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the P106-100 also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 960M has a significantly lower TDP at 65 W when compared to the P106-100 at 120 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the P106-100 is faster than the GeForce GTX 960M.
