GeForce GTX 960 vs Radeon RX 580X comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 960 GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 580X in gaming.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 580X has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 580X also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 580X has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 4 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 960 has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the Radeon RX 580X at 185 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce GTX 960 is faster than the Radeon RX 580X.
