GeForce GTX 780 vs Radeon Vega 3 specs and performance

For gaming, the GeForce GTX 780 graphics card is better than the Radeon Vega 3 in our tests.

Our database shows that the GeForce GTX 780 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon Vega 3 has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, the Radeon Vega 3 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 780 at 250 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 780 is better than the Radeon Vega 3.
