GeForce GTX 780 vs Quadro P4200 specs and performance
For gaming, the Quadro P4200 graphics card is better than the GeForce GTX 780 in our tests.
Our database shows that the Quadro P4200 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Quadro P4200 has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Quadro P4200 has a significantly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 780 at 250 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Quadro P4200 over the GeForce GTX 780.
