In our benchmarks, the GeForce GTX 780 beats the NVS 5400M in gaming performance.

In addition, the NVS 5400M has a significantly lower TDP at 35 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 780 at 250 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
