GeForce GTX 670 vs GeForce GTX 690 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 690 GPU is faster than the GeForce GTX 670 in gaming.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the GeForce GTX 670 and the GeForce GTX 690 have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the GeForce GTX 690 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the GeForce GTX 670 has significantly more memory with 4 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 670 has a significantly lower TDP at 170 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 690 at 300 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 690 is better than the GeForce GTX 670.
