GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q vs Radeon RX 6700S benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 6700S GPU is faster than the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q in gaming.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6700S has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6700S also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6700S has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q has a slightly lower TDP at 60 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6700S at 80 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 6700S is faster than the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q.
