GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q vs GeForce RTX 2070 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 2070 beats the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q in gaming performance.
The GeForce RTX 2070 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2070 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 2070 has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q has a significantly lower TDP at 60 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2070 at 175 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2070 is better than the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q.
