GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER vs Radeon RX 590 comparison
For gaming, the GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 590 in our tests.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 590 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 590 has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 4 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER has a significantly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the Radeon RX 590 at 175 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER is better than the Radeon RX 590.
