GeForce GTX 1080 vs Radeon RX 7900 GRE specs and performance

For gaming, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card is better than the GeForce GTX 1080 in our tests.

As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 1080 has a significantly lower TDP at 180 W when compared to the Radeon RX 7900 GRE at 260 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE is faster than the GeForce GTX 1080.
