GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q vs Quadro RTX 3000 comparison
For gaming, the GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q graphics card is better than the Quadro RTX 3000 in our tests.
In our comparison, the GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.
As stated by the manufacturer, the GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Quadro RTX 3000 has a slightly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q at 110 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q is faster than the Quadro RTX 3000.
