GeForce GTX 1060 vs Radeon RX 6800 XT benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card is better than the GeForce GTX 1060 in our tests.
The Radeon RX 6800 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 6800 XT has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1060 has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800 XT at 300 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6800 XT is better than the GeForce GTX 1060.
