GeForce GTX 1060 vs Radeon RX 5500M specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the GeForce GTX 1060 beats the Radeon RX 5500M in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the GeForce GTX 1060 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce GTX 1060 has significantly more memory with 6 GiB of memory compared to 4 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Radeon RX 5500M has a slightly lower TDP at 85 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 1060 at 120 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1060 is better than the Radeon RX 5500M.
