GeForce GTX 1060 6GB vs Radeon RX 6650 XT specs and performance
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6650 XT graphics card is better than the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB in our tests.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 6 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB has a significantly lower TDP at 120 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6650 XT at 176 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6650 XT is better than the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.
