GeForce GTX 1050 vs Radeon RX 550 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1050 GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 550 in gaming.

In our comparison, the GeForce GTX 1050 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce GTX 1050 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 550 has significantly more memory with 4 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon RX 550 has a significantly lower TDP at 50 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 1050 at 75 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 1050 is better than the Radeon RX 550.
