GeForce GT 730 vs Radeon HD 8950 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Radeon HD 8950 beats the GeForce GT 730 in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the GeForce GT 730 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon HD 8950 has significantly more memory with 3 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce GT 730 has a significantly lower TDP at 49 W when compared to the Radeon HD 8950 at 225 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon HD 8950 is faster than the GeForce GT 730.
