FX-9830P vs Athlon X4 750K benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the FX-9830P beats the Athlon X4 750K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Athlon X4 750K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the FX-9830P has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Athlon X4 750K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Athlon X4 750K has a slightly higher clock speed than the FX-9830P. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Athlon X4 750K has significantly more L2 cache than the FX-9830P
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the FX-9830P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
