FX-9800P vs Celeron 7305 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Celeron 7305 beats the FX-9800P in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-9800P in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron 7305 has slightly more cores with 5 cores compared to the FX-9800P that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the FX-9800P. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-9800P has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron 7305. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Celeron 7305 has significantly more L2 cache than the FX-9800P

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the FX-9800P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
