FX-9370 vs Xeon E5-2630 v2 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E5-2630 v2 performs better than the FX-9370. Despite this, the FX-9370 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon E5-2630 v2 has significantly more cores than the FX-9370. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2630 v2 has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the FX-9370. It also has more threads than the FX-9370. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-9370 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-2630 v2. The Xeon E5-2630 v2 outputs less heat than FX-9370 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the FX-9370 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
