FX-8350 vs Xeon X5670 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-8350 performs better than the Xeon X5670. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5670 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X5670 has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the FX-8350 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the FX-8350. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-8350 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5670. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-8350 has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5670. Despite this, the Xeon X5670 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the FX-8350.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the FX-8350 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
