FX-8350 vs Xeon E5-2630 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the FX-8350 is faster than the Xeon E5-2630. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2630 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2630 has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the FX-8350 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the FX-8350. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-8350 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-2630. Also, the FX-8350 has a significantly higher turbo speed. The Xeon E5-2630 outputs less heat than FX-8350 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the FX-8350 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
