FX-8350 vs Phenom II X6 1045T benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-8350 performs better than the Phenom II X6 1045T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1045T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Phenom II X6 1045T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the FX-8350 that has 4 cores. Despite this, the FX-8350 has more threads than the Phenom II X6 1045T. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-8350 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Phenom II X6 1045T. In terms of cache, the FX-8350 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Phenom II X6 1045T. The FX-8350 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the FX-8350 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
