FX-8320E vs Core i7-4930MX benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-4930MX is faster than the FX-8320E. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8320E in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-4930MX has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the FX-8320E. The Core i7-4930MX outputs less heat than FX-8320E thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-8320E has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-4930MX. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the FX-8320E has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
