FX-8320E vs Core i5-6500TE specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the FX-8320E is faster than the Core i5-6500TE. Despite this, the Core i5-6500TE has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the FX-8320E has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-8320E has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-6500TE. The Core i5-6500TE outputs less heat than FX-8320E thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the FX-8320E has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-6500TE. The FX-8320E also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the FX-8320E has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
