FX-8320 vs Core i7-11850H comparison
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-11850H beats the FX-8320 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8320 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-11850H has significantly more cores than the FX-8320. Indeed, the Core i7-11850H has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the FX-8320. It also has more threads than the FX-8320. Our comparison shows that the FX-8320 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11850H. The Core i7-11850H outputs less heat than FX-8320 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the FX-8320 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
