FX-8150 vs FX-8320E specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the FX-8320E is faster than the FX-8150. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8150 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the FX-8150 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the FX-8320E. The FX-8320E outputs less heat than FX-8150 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the FX-8150 has more L2 cache than the FX-8320E. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the FX-8150 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
