FX-8120 vs FX-8370E benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the FX-8120 beats the FX-8370E in overall performance. Despite this, the FX-8370E has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-8370E has a slightly higher clock speed than the FX-8120. The FX-8370E outputs less heat than FX-8120 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the FX-8120 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
