FX-6300 vs Phenom II X6 1045T benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Phenom II X6 1045T is faster than the FX-6300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-6300 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Phenom II X6 1045T has significantly more cores than the FX-6300. Indeed, the Phenom II X6 1045T has 6 cores compared to 3 cores found in the FX-6300. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-6300 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Phenom II X6 1045T. In terms of cache, the FX-6300 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Phenom II X6 1045T. The FX-6300 also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the FX-6300 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
