FX-6300 vs N100 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-6300 performs better than the N100. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the N100 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the N100 has slightly more cores with 4 cores compared to the FX-6300 that has 3 cores. Despite this, the FX-6300 has more threads than the N100. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-6300 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N100. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-6300 has significantly more L2 cache than the N100. The FX-6300 also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the FX-6300 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
