FX-6100 vs Core 2 Duo E8500 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-6100 performs better than the Core 2 Duo E8500. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core 2 Duo E8500 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the FX-6100 has significantly more cores with 3 cores whereas the Core 2 Duo E8500 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E8500. Our comparison shows that the FX-6100 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core 2 Duo E8500. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache
