FX-4300 vs Celeron J6412 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron J6412 is faster than the FX-4300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-4300 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J6412 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the FX-4300 has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-4300 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron J6412. The Celeron J6412 outputs less heat than FX-4300 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the FX-4300 has more L2 cache than the Celeron J6412. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the FX-4300 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
