FX-4130 vs Xeon W3520 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W3520 beats the FX-4130 in overall performance. Despite this, the FX-4130 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon W3520 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the FX-4130 that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-4130 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon W3520. A FX-4130 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W3520 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the FX-4130 has more L2 cache than the Xeon W3520. Despite this, the Xeon W3520 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the FX-4130.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the FX-4130 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
